Abstract

Pneumatocele is a rounded cystic thin-walled lesion full of air inside the lung due to a lung trauma, infection or inflammation. It can be misdiagnosed with other pulmonary air cyst as bronquiectasia or adenomatous malformation. If there are no severe respiratory symptoms, radiological follow-up will be enough avoiding harmful diagnostic or therapeutic procedures for the patient.
