Abstract
Imperforate hymen is a rare congenital malformation that occurs in 0,1% of female newborns. Symtoms are variables and nonspecifics. The abdominal pain is the most frequent clinical presentation. The diagnosis is suspected and can to do in primary care with a simple genital exploration. The treatment is surgical and consists of a cross incision of hymen.
The aim of this case is to highlight the importance of genital examination all newborns in reviews healthy child program for early detection of this malformation and prevent the occurrence of futher complications.
