Abstract
Abdominal venous thrombosis is a rare form of venous thromboembolic disease in children. Although mortality rates are low, a significant proportion of children suffer from long-term morbidity. Among its etiologies, it is known that there is an association with prothrombotic disorders, the absence of factor XII is not very frequent. Treatment includes anticoagulation and the surgical resection of the ischemic organs, with potential subsequent transplantation.
