Pyomyositis of unusual location

Abstract

We report the case of a nine-year-old girl who presents a post-traumatic sternocleidomastoid tumoration with final diagnosis of pyomyositis. Symptomatology, diagnostic tests, treatment and main differential diagnosis are reviewed.
