Abstract
The preauricular fistula is a benign congenital malformation of the preauricular soft tissues. It can present itself in isolation or associate with other congenital anomalies. Usually it is asymptomatic, being a chance finding. However, it can lead to local infections. Its approach includes systemic antibiotics, considering surgery based on complications.
