Abstract

The behavioural non organic anorexia in childhood is a frequent reason of consulting. Its multicausal origin (parents? anxiety, family pressures, stress and lack of coordination) causes a lack of respect to the development and maturity of eating habits in children. This determines the acquisition and maintenance of improper eating habits (threat, bribery...). The therapeutical attack is usually difficult (dietetic treatment, reeducation of the eating habits and treatment of the nutritional deficiency) meanwhile its prevention by a proper sanitary education can be more efficient. The causes of organic anorexia can be multiple. There is usually a global rejection to every food and affect the physical growth.
