Abstract

Abdominal trauma caused by a fall with abdominal impact or a blow against bicycle handlebars can result in injuries ranging from minor, such as a slight abdominal wall contusion, to severe internal injuries.

We present the case of a boy aged 8 years with abdominal pain and perceived gastric fullness after falling and hitting the bicycle handlebars. There were no other symptoms. The findings of the examination and imaging tests were key to the diagnosis.
