Abstract
Paediatric radiology is the application of diagnostic radiology to the aid in the diagnosis, therapy, and follow-up of diseases of infants and children. Paediatric radiology is a hospital subspeciality but is very important in Primary Care too.
A variety of imaging modalities are used for the evaluation of paediatric diseases. In this session we are going to review the most common clinical indications for the evaluation of the airway. We will study the abnormalities identified by conventional chest and upper airway radiographs.
We will see the most common diseases of skeletal system and normal variants.
We will study the radiological signs of some uncommon diseases with potentially severe repercussion over the child?s health. We will discuss the state of the art in imaging diagnosis in Paediatrics.
