Abstract

Adolescence generally marks the beginning of sexual activity based on the eroticisation of relationships. Various polls indicate that sexual relationships in adolescents and young adults are marked by the overcoming of a certain strictness and by being more open, which is what corresponds to a more plural society like ours. However the information also reflects a low consistency in the use of methods of contraception, which leads to an elevated level of teenage pregnancy and pregnancy termination. A better knowledge of contraceptive methods as far as professionals are concerned, and the ability to share this knowledge with young people would help to prevent not only unwanted pregnancies but sexually transmitted diseased as well.
