Abstract

A nine year old girl, diagnosed of obsessive-compulsive disorder is presented. After a science class she started fearing to suffer from appendicitis, and other conditions as well as compulsive rituals of cleaning and obsessions that impaired her familiar and social life. Diagnostic criteria and pharmacological and psychological treatment are discussed.
