Abstract

Ectopic sebaceous hyperplasia is a very rare condition. Sometimes it occurs in the pediatric consultation or emergency clinic and can be confusing with other more common clinical entities, leading to diagnostic error, prescribing unnecessary tests or treating inadequately this type of injury. In this case, it was shown that by correctly identifying these lesions and taking an expectant attitude, they resolved progressively and without sequelae of any kind.
