Abstract
Ectopic sebaceous hyperplasia is a very rare condition that may be encountered in paediatric care or emergency care settings. It may be confused with more common clinical conditions, possibly resulting in misdiagnosis, performance of unnecessary tests or inadequate treatment. We present a case that demonstrates that the correct identification of the lesions and a watchful waiting approach allowed their spontaneous resolution without sequelae of any kind.
