Abstract
Juvenile myasthenia gravis is a rare disease in pediatrics, caused by specific antibodies against proteins of the neuromuscular junction, with purely ocular or generalized clinical manifestations that improve at rest. The diagnosis is clinical but the presence of specific antibodies or abnormalities in nerve conduction confirm the diagnosis. The treatment combines symptomatic treatment, immunosuppressants and thymectomy in some cases.
