Abstract
Infection by parvovirus B19 is common in the paediatric age group. The typical presentation of acute infection in children is erythema infectiosum, also known as fifth disease, although other manifestations have also been described, including arthropathy. We describe 2 cases in paediatric patients who experienced arthralgia and arthritis in the context of acute parvovirus B19 infection, both confirmed by serology and with complete resolution of articular manifestations.
