Abstract
Recognizing, understanding and managing the range of physical, cognitive and behavioral changes in the pediatric age is necessary to ensure the best health status for children. This perspective also compromises paying special attention to behavioral issues that, although developmentally expected, can compromise the stability of the child and family, and even lead to psychopathological disorders if they are not adequately issued. Bearing in mind that pediatricians are seen by families as the reference figure and that they expect him to solve their doubts about aspects related to upbringing, this article offers strategies about how to manage disruptive behaviors in young children, relying on basic learning principles.
