Abstract

Abstract

Every scientific contribution deserves to be communicated. In order to do this, it is necessary a range of oral communication skills. Here below we present a series of advice grouped into six sections: 1) why we do the communication; 2) the place of our exhibition: convention center, hotel, others; 3) what kind of audience we are going to have; 4) at what time of the meeting or congress our communication will be: at the beginning, at the end, at a round table, etc.; 5) what we are going to present: poster, communication, round table, conference, statements to the press or radio and television, and, finally, 6) how we are going to expose it, highlighting the most important factors: prepare, practice, test, verify everything and show enthusiasm and spontaneity.
