Abstract
The painful shoulder is one of the most common reasons for visiting in primary care and hospital emergencies. To establish a correct differential diagnosis will prevent the iatrogenic patient. Therefore we believe it appropriate to present a case of Parsonage-Turner Syndrome (also known as acute brachial neuritis) which, although rare cause, has a very suggestive clinical. Acute pain is characterized by neurological symptoms followed by establishment torpid. Such as tests (since it is a diagnosis of exclusion) we have the electromyogram and magnetic resonance imaging. It presents a favorable with spontaneous resolution although it is shown the benefit of anti-inflammatory treatment and rehabilitation.
