Abstract
The prevalence of mental disorders in children and adolescents range between 5% and 22%. The first contact is frecuently make with Paediatricians and General Practicioners. Therefore, primary care physicians are going to have the responsibility to early detect and prevent them. Althought a complete psychiatric evaluation is not a priority task for them, we consider that performance of it could be esential for a global understanding of this complex problems in childhood and teenager mental health. The aim of this article is introduce general considerations of psychiatric interview in childhood.
