Abstract

The music is often “the forgotten character” in the movies, it is also an omnipresent character. In the seventh art, the music coexists in communion with the visual images. The music is therefore that “third character” hidden in a discreet position next to “the good and the bad”, “the boy and the girl”, or “the prince and the beggar”… Without the soundtrack, it is not possible to understand some of the movies because, consciously or unconsciously, emotions and reflections come together with the surroundings of the melodies, and, then, the music become an important narrative element known as leitmotiv. Due to the great friendship established between the music and the visual in the big screen, where the pentagram and the script live together. And to confirm the above said we want to address from the project Cine y Pediatría our look to directors, musical composers and films in which the music is even more than a third character. I will never know the positive impact of Cine y Pediatría to the audience, but what I can assure you is what our audience and friends are giving back to us, the Cine y Pediatría project: they give us the best song, the best melody, the heavenly music… and we want to reward to you with this article.
